Chicago Troubadour Mark Dvorak Returns to Homewood on October 19

HOMEWOOD IL – Folk singer and songwriter Mark Dvorak will perform at the Twisted Q Barbecue and Bakery, 2053 Ridge Road, on Saturday, October 19 at 8:00 pm.

“Mark packed the room for us last June,” said Doug Brown, owner and chef at the Twisted Q. “So far our music series has been a great success. Although we present a variety of shows, Mark’s intimate style is perfect for our listening room.”

Dvorak, who was named “Chicago’s Troubadour” by WFMT 98.7 fm fine arts radio last year,  is also the recipient of FARM Lantern Bearer Award for his contribution to the field of folk music.

His career as a performer, songwriter, recording artist and educator has spanned more than twenty-five years.

His songwriting has been called “wondrous,” and “profound.” His performance “an elegant balancing act of the traditional, the original and the powerful.” The Chicago Tribune calls him “masterful,” while SING OUT! magazine says, “Dvorak shines!”

His 2011 Waterbug release, Time Ain’t Got Nothin’ On Me, received national airplay and rose to number 14 on the Cashbox Roots Music Report.

General admission is $10. For reservations and more information, phone 708 957 8899. Visit Mark Dvorak on the world wide web at
